SEWA (Social and Environmental Welfare Action)
A commitment to SEWA or Social and Environmental Welfare and Action is an integral and all pervasive spirit that permeates every grain of our culture and learning at NiBS (Nirmal Bhartia School). Every year, a new SEWA commitment is launched and introduced to the students on Children’s Day. Students across the school pledge themselves to the new commitment and intensively work on projects and activities related to it for the duration of an entire year.
About Us
At the Nirmal Bhartia School, we believe that a true, whole or meaningful education cannot merely be limited to the often narrow and linear schooling process of acquiring the knowledge and skills required to prepare one for life. For us, it must be a deeper, more open and organic process of living and engaging with life; of experiencing its uniqueness and diversity; of being moved by beauty; of asking thought-provoking questions; of the search for answers and the fearless urge to bring about change when required.
It is the recognition of this imperative that has inspired our team to open up the doors of the traditionally isolated school site and pioneer the warm, open and inviting space of a community school.
