LIGCA is a registered charity in the UK, and its mission is to promote education, international understanding and awareness through children’s art.

Nirmal Bhartia School and LIGCA connected with the idea of collaborating on a project on air pollution.  The aim was to create an art exhibition by the end of 2018 that will be shown both in New Delhi and London, which would give children a voice on this burning issue.

LIGCA successfully engaged two schools in London to join this project, (The Village School, Belsize Park, and UCL Academy, Swiss Cottage).  Under the able and creative leadership of environmental artist Francesca Busca and art teacher Susie Craven, the students at both schools investigated across the curriculum, the causes and effects of air pollution both internationally and locally.
